The sound got really annoying after a while. Could have been a bit better. Controls were a bit loose and glitchy.

MarcsUniverse responds:

Yea I know! But well I like it, its just an loop.
Thats because my programming skills are not THAT good yet.

instant points off for flashing stuff. And then you don't even get to start on the last level you reached. In all honesty, it could be a good game, but it needs tons of polishing.

yurgenburgen responds:

woah listen to this guy and his hot opinions

This was very nice! Excellent music, decent graphics and a good concept! A tiny bit frustrating, but it was pretty nice!

Jhomas responds:

Thanks for the review!

I wish all the people voting the game down would write even short reviews like this so I knew what was going on...

Solid graphics, Decent sound. Needs some plot development and maybe a bigger variety of enemies. Nice work!

busypixels responds:

Thanks!
The plot is not finished yet, but there will be a story part and a lot of enemys ;-)

This is a pretty good game. Relaxing music and nice graphics. The one thing I don't quite understand is that you went with a decimal system in the game instead of whole numbers. When I got better equipment, it gave me half points of damage. And the rocks you collect, what do you do with them? (Not the ores, just the plain rocks)

Maxiecole responds:

Thanks. The reason I went with the decimals is because the more mining power, the more minerals you get. And that will be displayed in decimals. Right now I'm trying to figure out a new mining power system, where I don't need the decimals.
The rocks are useless. The rocks had originally no purpose. But I think It's a nice way to keep track of how much you've kind of mined. I will perhaps add an use for rocks in the future.

This isn't a game. This isn't a work in progress. It's just an inside joke that no one gets. If you really wanted to make something, put some effort into it. And keep stuff like this on your dumping grounds.

TheMajormel responds:

yeah it's a inside joke.
everyone loves inside jokes.

Nice graphics. Sadly, the game makes very little sense. It also isn't really fun at all. Could use a lot of tweaking.

FieryRainbowPuppies responds:

Aye, sorry to hear that we didn't manage to communicate and tune the gameplay in a way that resonated or felt fun for you. We were doing our best to make something really different and unique in terms of play experience, which meant that in a few major design decisions we couldn't identify established conventions to fall back on... and for us that involved accepting risk of the game not making sense to some players if they're coming into it with different/particular expectations and background experiences. Thanks for the kind note on the graphics (for many members on our student team this was their first time trying to do pixel art, so that's really great to hear!), and thanks for taking the time to comment.

Awful. although your graphics aren't half bad, the lack of anything resembling game play really hurts this game's score. And the controls are very awkward. Even if I was playing 2 player, it would be extremely awkward. Better luck next time.

Ribaplus responds:

a single player mode is featured in missions.
you can play 1vs1 in Vs mode, or play mass pvp game in online

Ok, interesting concept, You need to work on a lot of problems though. first of all, i hated the control scheme. mouse to move and to shoot was really hard. (Aiming was almost impossible.) Your sound was okay, but when it got to programming, it glitched out badly on the 3rd level because of all the moving sprites.
One other thing that bothered me was that there was an ad I had to sit through between each level. I don't know if you have control of that or not, but it's kind of annoying. Good luck on your game making!

technomantics responds:

I will pass along everyone's feedback, and he will be reading it! :Thank you for your feedback, much appreciated!)

The ads were removed in the mentioned areas! :)

If you move in U shaped patterns, and keep moving (some players go around clockwise or counter clockwise patterns), you will be able to get through the first 4 levels with no problem. Finding your groove and finding out some of the scoring secrets will help you get higher scores to get on the scoreboard. ;)

The boss is the one that you have to really think out your strategy of movements with. He is Dog's toughest adversary!

Points for a new idea and good concept. My only complaint is that it's very difficult to remember where the matches are. It would be nice to see all the cards for at least a second before the game actually starts. Otherwise, Great game!

TheStoepsel2001 responds:

Thanks for sharing your improvement ideas with me. And seriously, I was thinking about embedding that. When debug is enabled there is a possibility to turn around all cards, and after testing for quite some time, I considered that this would make the game too easy... Hmmm. Maybe I'll have to reconsider that.
However, for the time being there is an item you can buy later in the game (for in-game-money, NO IAP, of course ;o) ) called "Crystal Ball" which will allow you to turn around all cards for two seconds...

Boo. Who You? I'm CC. Neat right? I show up every once in a while. Keep watching, I might do a trick...
